NO ONE IS ALONE!
I have a found a great site for writers - it is free to join and there are no costs or hidden costs at all and for original writing you actually DO get paid! My goal for 2014 is to complete some of the works that I have "Almost finished" and I am going to work first on a list of those which I will share here on my blog. My journey is like climbing a tree, it is one branch at a time, and I need to be always climbing upwards to the top! But my journey at Bubblews began at the end of October, four months ago, and it is getting me back into completing small posts - the main word is 'completing' - I try to do a post, or 'bubble' each day and so far the friendship and payout is amazing. The money I receive from this site is going into tables for the Dining Hall at the children's camp in Inglewood New Zealand where I help out at children's camps in school holidays, and also work in church children's ministries such as our weekly 'Faith force' program, Junior Church, which teachers take on rotation for a month at a time. I like to play with words and write new quotes - here is one I have created for my most recent bubble - how that we work together there and are connected. We will not make it alone. For me, I have God with me and I love and serve Him and want to bring Him praise. Today's bubble can be seen at: And the quote I want to leave you with is from the children's movie "Epic" — “Many leaves grow on one tree. We're all individuals, but we're connected. No one's alone.” Is from the movie titled: EPIC Carolyn Ann Aish

A Little Girl picked me up!!

Yup, I was picked up, cold and wet and this little girl picked me up and put me into the large pocket in her checkered pinafore. So, of course, I folded myself up, enjoying the warmth and fell asleep. Not completely purr-happy, but at least dry and for the moment, feeling safe.

It was only after I heard her say that she was going to see if she could sell me for a dollar that I started to stir, but then, I was warm and this was a good place to hide...

so I turned around and went back to sleep for quite a long time...

actually, it was too long a time for a little kitten....

Rastus - Just a Little Kitten

THE FIRST YEAR OF MY LIFE
Like every little kitten, I was born nameless. I'm not exactly sure how and when I was separated from my siblings and my mother, but it was when I was still very small and new. Somehow, I was lost and alone, unwanted. I wonder how many humans in this world are like that? Lost? Alone? Unwanted? I guess it is just that we haven't discovered one who wants us. We haven't yet been found. I was waiting for that person to come along. But often nothing good happens all at once, it takes some stepping stones to get to a good place...
I was discarded, cold, hungry and wet; thrown away, fighting for my life; just a little kitten...

Introduction to Rastus, the Motor-Cycling Cat - a real cat!

(A picture of Rastus as a little lost kitten)

This blog is by Rastus the Cat and it is about keeping alive the memory of a very remarkable, brave and (mostly) selfless cat who rode upon a motor-cycle to help raise money for a number of needy charities.
So, after this blog, it will be in the voice of Rastus the Cat, beginning with his life as a kitten back in 1989.
Real photos of this real cat will be posted on this blog. This is his life's story.
